I don’t know about you, but Father’s Day is my favorite because my husband is the easiest man to shop for. Anything my children buy for him will be the best thing he’s ever received. Whether it be handmade, store bought, baked, or kneaded – he’s appreciative of any way my daughters and I think of him/ show him love. Store-bought gifts are great, but a crafted gift is one of a kind. It can’t be replicated, which makes it extra special for whoever you’re making it for! If you know your way around a sewing machine and have the time, you could totally DIY this apron from the ground up and make the apron yourself. While I do know my way around a sewing machine, I’m a mom of two, a remote nurse, and trying to run this blog full time. So I don’t exactly have the time to make an apron from scratch. I do, however, know my way around Amazon (LOL). Here’s the apron I purchased. It’s nice and plain, so I was able to really decorate it and make it my own with my iron-on vinyl.
Find the perfect SVG file or purchase Iron-on letters or patches!
If you’re an owner of a circuit machine or any cutting machine, then you are no stranger to SVG files and HTV. If you’re not familiar with a cutting machine, there is still a way for you to make this project happen! You can visit your local craft store for iron-on letters and patches! Think of the dad’s favorite hobbies, cartoon characters, or sports. Get creative if you choose to use iron-on patches! There is also being able to iron on a simple phrase with individual iron-on letters. Simple phrases like “best dad ever” or “#1 dad” go a long way!
